Our Learning Model

Self-Study Options

We offer a variety of options to learn with us. Our flagship experience has been learning with and from each other during in-person and virtual courses with small groups of like-minded but diversely experienced people; however, in 2024 we launched our self-study, asynchronous option for some courses as a result of changing interests post-pandemic. Whichever you choose, we guarantee you’ll enjoy the learning.

Community

People who take our courses are like-minded people who care about understanding and supporting others (and themselves) through a brain awareness journey. We take great pride in our ability to bring amazing people together for an exceptional learning experience. With the recent launch of our self-study options, we ensured that the community experience was preserved for those who want that while enjoying the flexibility if asynchronous learning. We have added monthly discussions for community members, free to those are registered in a course.

Credentials

We offer a few different credentials to honour the learning journey because we believe the hard intellectual, emotional, behavioural, and social work of our courses should be shown off. Some courses are shorter introductions to topics but some others that are longer and more in-depth come with a “certificate” or “certification”. We also offer “MicroDegrees” where students choose their topics of interest and work with a mentor to complete a study project! People love adding credentials from the Centre for Applied Neuroscience to their resumes.
