Neuropsychoidiology Course & Community

This course is based on and uses the content from Dr. Mandy Wintink’s upcoming second book on the subject matter called Neuropsychoidiology - a self awareness-based framework using neuroscience, psychology, and self-reflection. The book is written in a memoir-style account of various topics including 1) mental health, 2) drug experiences, 3) eating and food, 4) sensitivities and sensory experiences, 5) sexuality and gender, and more.

The course is structured as a series of discussion groups where students review the material and then come ready to discuss what they learned about their own mind, brain, and behaviour related to the topic of interest. The class meets weekly for 6 weeks. Each discussion class is about 75 minutes long.

Facilitators: Zoe Pagonis & Felicia Tassone

Hello! My name is Zoe Pagonis and I am a fourth year Psychology student at the University of Guelph-Humber with an aim to pursue a Masters degree in Rehabilitative Science. More specifically, my current interests in this field include working with children with developmental disabilities, occupational therapy, inclusion, neuromotor mechanisms and cognition. Growing up I have always had a strong passion for helping children succeed and grow. Today this passion holds true. Any chance I can get to contribute to change, big or small, is an opportunity to make a difference.

Hi there! My name is Felicia Tassone, and I am currently in the last year of my Honours BASc in Psychology at the University of Guelph-Humber, with an aim to pursue a Masters in neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and behaviour in September 2023. My current interests in these topics include memory, distraction, attention, perception, problem-solving, neural processes, ADHD, anxiety, and stress. Outside of academics, I work as a tutor and conduct research for CAMH, and love to create art, read novels, analyze TV shows and movies, and spend time with friends and family.
